چکیده
The matrix optics formalism is applied to show that a simple Gaussian equation enough relate object and image distances in an optical system consisting of arbitrary number thick lenses cascade immersed air. First, the case single lens was studied. Applying sequentially matrixes corresponding refraction displacement ray, imposing certain conditions on behavior bunch rays being refracted by lens, there were found characteristic parameters such as focal distance, back front points, principal planes. Then relating found, which, after coordinate transformation, becomes well-known equation, usually used describe more idealized thin lens. Further, extended compound systems two, three N cascade. It also sufficient no matter lenses. Key words: Matrix optics, lenses, length, planes, focus, multi-lenses system.

Integrated Lenses for Microfluidic Systems
Greater integration of optical devices is required in microfluidic systems for on-chip functionality, with lenses being key components. In this paper several candidate lens types are compared and simulations are presented which show that the paraxial kinoform lens offers optimum performance for efficiency and compactness in weak guiding systems. © 2009 Microoptics Group (OSJ/JSAP)
متن کاملSubwavelength-thick lenses with high numerical apertures and large efficiency based on high-contrast transmitarrays.
Flat optical devices thinner than a wavelength promise to replace conventional free-space components for wavefront and polarization control. Transmissive flat lenses are particularly interesting for applications in imaging and on-chip optoelectronic integration. Several designs based on plasmonic metasurfaces, high-contrast transmitarrays and gratings have been recently implemented but have not...
متن کاملFractional free space, fractional lenses, and fractional imaging systems.
Continuum extensions of common dual pairs of operators are presented and consolidated, based on the fractional Fourier transform. In particular, the fractional chirp multiplication, fractional chirp convolution, and fractional scaling operators are defined and expressed in terms of their common nonfractional special cases, revealing precisely how they are interpolations of their conventional co...
متن کاملUnderstanding Complex Service Systems Through Different Lenses: An Overview
The 2011 Grand Challenge in Service conference aimed to explore, analyse and evaluate complex service systems, utilising a case scenario of delivering on improved perception of safety in the London Borough of Sutton, which provided a common context to link the contributions. The key themes that emerged included value co-creation, systems and networks, ICT and complexity, for which we summarise ...
متن کاملLoss of thiol repair systems in human cataractous lenses.
PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to investigate the thiol repair systems of thioltransferase (TTase) and thioredoxin (Trx) and oxidation-damaged proteins in human cataractous lenses. METHODS Cataractous lenses in humans (57-85 years of age) were classified into cortical, nuclear, mixed, mature, and hypermature cataract types by using a lens opacity classification system, and were obtaine...
